5:30 - 6:15 p.m.
Artist Drék Davis will discuss his most recent body of work, "Idle Warship", which considers the topics of politics, religion, violence, race, representation, and the places where these things intersect.
"As a graduate student at the University of Georgia, I drew upon [past] experiences to create artwork that would investigate contemporary idol worship, and its implications, as seen in society," Davis says.
Free and open to the public.
To be followed by an opening reception, hosted by the Friends of the Algur Meadows Museum.
